Bulgaria Hall
Bulgaria Concert Hall will host the opening ceremony (16th September 2014) and the morning open-for-the-public key lectures (16-18th September 2014). After these key lectures, transport will be organized from “Bulgaria Hall” to New Bulgarian University, where the academic part of the congress will take place.
The main concert hall of the Sofia Sofia Philharmonic, Bulgaria Concert Hall was build in the 1930s as part of the Bulgaria Complex, which also includes a
gallery, a hotel and a few other, smaller, concert halls.
Bulgaria Concert Hall has proven the best acoustics features in Bulgaria and therefore has been a host to numeras concerts and festivals through the last 60 years.
Currently the Hall has about 1,100 seats spread in the ground floor and two balconies.
Located in the heart of Sofia.
New Bulgarian University
The University Campus, located in the South-West part of town will host most of Semio2014:
- more than 100 auditoriums and specialized halls, with capacity of more than 1900 seats. The technical equipment of the lecture halls allows the use of multimedia applications and interactive technologies. All lecture halls are equipped with multimedia projectors, video and audio equipment.
- The university AULA, the place for official ceremonies, academic lectures, international conferences, film festivals, concerts and master classes. It is supplied with modern audiovisual equipment, interpreter booths, organ and a grand piano.
