I have worked during 30 years as a lecturer and researcher in different Colombian universities. I have taken on management, administrative and academic positions. I have published my research in books and specialized journals. I have obtained different distinctions as a lecturer at the National University of Colombia. Currently I am a lecturer in the Department of Linguistics at this same university. I have been invited as a lecturer at different national and international universities, where I have given conferences and specialized courses in Master and Doctorate programs. I have participated in international networks of research such as REDLAD and PROSUL. My research focuses on the areas of Discourse Analysis, Communication and Culture, within which I have directed undergraduate and postgraduate theses. I am currently a senior researcher and leader of the Colombian Group- Analysis of Media Discourse, COLCIENCIAS.
